If you are using Android version 4.0 or above then you must be aware that you can now control the music even from the lock screen. But what if you want to launch the music control from any screen on your Android while navigating to Settings, viewing files in File manager, using calculator and all without switching to the music player repeatedly?
Well, finally here is an app in the Play store for this type of functionality. This app transformed the stock music widget into “Floating Music Widget” which can be launched from anywhere on the screen. You can change the widget’s size to make it big or small. Also place it in the screen corner or tuck it in the center of the screen.
So if you are an avid music fan like me and want to control music from any screen on your Android easily, you can forget the ICS lock screen widget and switch to new Floating Music Widget for much convenient use! Just follow the below steps to install and configure this app.
Step 1: Download and install “Floating Music Widget” on your device from the official Google Plat Store (The app removed from the play store, so use the APK files to install the same). If you wish to install directly using the APK files, you can get it from the following links – APK for 4.2.2 and lower | APK for 4.3.
Step 2: Once the installation completes, simply open the app from the app drawer to activate the widget.
Step 3: You’ll see a big window opened on the screen with music controls. If you want to re-size the window then just pinch it out or in.
Step 4: To close the widget, double tap it!
Step 5: That’s it! Now you can control your Music from anywhere on the screen. You can also launch this app by shortcut created on the home screen easily.
