Netflix is an American service provider of on-demand Internet streaming media and flat rate DVD-by-mail. Netflix enables people to watch Movies and TV Shows on TV via Xbox, Wii, PS3, Smartphones & many other devices.

Nowadays people prefer to watch their favorite TV episodes and Movies on their Smartphones rather than watching it on TV. And these days most of the people owns at least one Android Smartphone.

Yes! Of course, Netflix app is available to download from the official Google Play Store for free. As per the user’s reviews, the Netflix app doesn’t work properly on all the devices as well as they can only browse in the portrait and a stream in Landscape. So, it’s very difficult to browse and watch videos in landscape mode. That’s why I came up with an article for how to watch HD Netflix videos on Android. Thanks to XDA developers to develop a modified version of such a great app.

There are two modified versions of Netflix app with different functionality, one allows you to browse and view videos in landscape mode, including one can customize backgrounds, fixed subtitles, etc., while another allows you to watch High Definition quality video. Before going further, simply check that you have enable install from “Unknown Sources” in the Android OS. If not, then navigate to Settings > Security > Check the box for “Unknown sources”.

Netflix App with Autorotation, Custom Backgrounds and Subtitles

  1. First uninstall the previous version app and clear data.
  2. Download and install this modified Netflix app on your device.
  3. Open the app and you’ll notice that default “Red Screen” of the App is changed to “Black Screen” as well as you’ll find large size subtitles for movies/shows.
  4. You can also rotate the screen and watch the videos in landscape mode.

Netflix App with High Definition Video

  1. First uninstall the previous version app and clear data.
  2. Download and install this modified Netflix app on your device.
  3. This is useful for HD video for high-end Smartphone. The main reason to create this app with HD video is because default app is not capable of doing so and you can feel the difference on a larger screen.

Feel the new experience after installing these two modified versions of Netflix app on your device. Get the large subtitles, autorotation, customization options and HD video quality. These apps will work perfectly on the small screen, but for better results install it on a larger screen and see the difference.

So, what do you think about these apps? You like it or not? Share your views via comments!
