After getting huge success in mid-range Android Smartphones, nowadays, Samsung is focusing on Galaxy Tab series. Recently, Samsung has come-up with a new version of the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 SM-T905 with LTE support. This newly launched tablet specs are totally different in comparison with existing variant Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 3G SM-T900.
The tab features a 12.2 inches Super clear LCD capacitive touchscreen with a 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Chipset and Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 processor with 3GB of RAM, Adreno 330 GPU, and 8MP primary camera with autofocus & LED flash.
Officially, the tab is running on Android 4.4 KitKat, but recently, Samsung has released Android 4.4.2 KitKat for the tab. Obviously, if you are going to update your rooted tab to the latest firmware version, then you’ll lose the root access. And, if you wish to get root access again on your tab then you have to re-root it. So, in case, if you have updated Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 LTE to Android 4.4.2 KitKat and you want to gain root access then below is the simplest procedure to do so. Make sure you follow each and every step carefully; otherwise, your tab may be bricked. Let’s go to the tutorial.
- Don’t forget to charge your tablet up to 80%.
- Navigate to the “Settings > Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging”.
- Download and install Samsung Kies for the USB Drivers.
- Take the back-up of your important data.

Procedure To Root Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 SM-T905 LTE
Step 1: Download and extract both the above files on your Computer.
Step 2: Launch the “Odin” tool from the extracted folder.
Step 3: Turn off your tablet.
Step 4: Now, boot your tab into downloading mode. For that, you have to “Press and hold Volume Down + Home + Power” buttons together for a few seconds and then press the “Volume Up” to enter.
Step 5: Connect your tablet to your PC.
Step 6: Once the device is detected by Odin, click on “AP/PDA” > choose “CF Auto Root” file which you have extracted earlier.
Step 7: Verify that only “F. Reset Time” and “Auto Reboot” options are checked on Odin.
Step 8: If all is set, then finally you have to click on the “Start” button to begin the rooting process.
Step 9: Once the process gets completed, a “PASS” message will be displayed on the screen and your tab will be rebooted automatically.
Step 10: Disconnect your tab safely.
