Samsung unmasked its new flagship devices Galaxy S7 and curved screen S7 Edge on Sunday at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The Galaxy S7 series will be available for pre-order from March 11. Customers in select countries will get a free Gear VR headset with their order.

Samsung has made some key improvements on several aspects of the S7 series including:

  • Screen Size: 5.5 inch screen on the S7 Edge and 5.1 inch display on the S7.
  • Camera: A 12 megapixel camera which it claims lets more light in allowing for a picture that is 95 percent brighter than the Galaxy S6 as well a faster autofocus.
  • Processor: A faster processor and advanced graphics card specifically to enhance gaming experience
  • Memory: Expandable memory up to 200 GB.
  • OS: New version of TouchWiz on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
  • Battery: Larger battery compared with the Galaxy S6 which allows for 13 to 15 hours of high-definition video playback

The main drawbacks of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge were battery life and the lack of removable storage. Samsung seems to have addressed both of these along with better camera experience, the processor, the RAM and more.
